CAFC V VALE OF LEVEN 3RD FIXTURE

Vol fc 1 v 1 Cafc 

A very tight game with alot at stake as both early front runners knew both had to take points early on in the season and this already the 2nd time both teams met in 3 weeks when Cafc won 4v2. 

Cafc game plan didnt alter from the last fixture v the vale with a sturdy defence and the counter attack set up. 

Very few chances offered  until big ross slid in Athletics nippy winger decky whos early strike was saved , the vale contued to try and build from the wide areas with there front 4 funding it difficult to get in behind Athletic looked comfortable.

But the game swung athletics way with sam roberts  showing composure bringing danny in to play to the left only for the ball to find big ross who slammed in his 3rd goal against the vale the season.

No real changes to the game with Cafc making a sub at ht with matty grant coming on for booked sam roberts at left bk. 

The back 4 of liam kayden ben matty really didnt let much by them with very few chances being given away.

The the moment to make it 2v0 arrived with a dipping free kick from jakub clipping the post to fall to danny only to get his footing wrong from 6 yards spurned the chance wide. 

Would CAFC rue that chance ? 

Answer ...........yes 

A free kick for a push late on the vale struck it well for jack to parry to fall to vale striker who sum how hit the bar from 2 yards for then a scramble on line only for it be cleared by liam but wait............ refs hand up !!!! Goal !! 

Up roar from Cafc sidelines and on pitch we clearly didnt think it was a goal liam commented after game the ball was no were near past the post. But these can be given

Vale pushed for corners and set plays but to no avail.

Cafc regrouped to keep shape and earn a point well earned but it could have been 3 if that late call and late miss from danny went Athletics way. 

Goal ross 

Motm liam and his defence who offered no space at all in a great defensive team performance yet again.
